IEP Fulfillment is a full-service third-party product fulfillment house. We process orders for our clients and then ship the orders to their customers. This is our specialty, so, we do it faster and at less expense than our clients can do it themselves. We receive orders, pick, pack, and ship products, provide inventory data management, e-fulfillment, & retail support solutions, and EDI order processing. We also offer customer service, and other third-party logistics (3PL) support services for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) clients.
As a fulfillment house, we deliver the back-end services that our clients need to service their customers need, while we remain their invisible outsourced backroom. We provide complete product fulfillment services for many different kinds of merchandise. IEP manages Fulfillment and Distribution Services for a wide variety of products, but for the most part, the service functions that fall within the broad category of "Fulfillment Services", and the operational processes we follow within these services remain consistent over the array of industries we serve. Order Management:

Fulfillment services companies today must have the flexibility to exchange order and inventory related data in a variety of electronic formats with a multitude of outside companies… and do in routine fashion throughout each workday. IEP has the ability to process the orders through our systems, and return updated shipping and inventory data that is central to each clients business needs. Our Technology Team works closely with each client to establish the most efficient and effective data exchange routine, with IEP either providing our standard import/export specifications, or with IEP mapping data to the client's preferred specs.

At IEP, we take order management beyond the technical to the intangible, as we work closely with the client every day to manage critical timelines, deadlines and priorities associated with particular customer orders. The IEP Team will work with the client to clearly understand the orders we are managing, the schedule we need to adhere to for picking up orders, and how to identify special instructions within the order detail and data exchange.

Pick, Pack, Ship:

State-of-the-art software combines with the human element to ensure accuracy in pick pack ship order fulfillment services.

When it comes to pick, pack, and ship, IEP is full service. Our trained professionals pick your products from inventory and package them according to your requirements. Our order processing methods enable us to ship all items on the day they were ordered using various shipping methods. Our expert packaging – combined with your “branded” packing slips – enhance your image with your customers. We also provide gift wrapping and gift cards for the added touch. Our Warehouse Management Systems offers the flexibility of multiple pick options and intelligent picking routes that enhance efficiency and capacity. Flexibility becomes extremely important what you are picking and packing a wide variety of product types that come in all shapes and sizes. Our people do the rest as order pickers use the system to pull appropriate items and quantities while the packing department serves as the 2nd QC check as every order receives 100% Quality Control verification.

Retail Distribution:

Our Team has many decades of combined retail distribution experience, shipping to thousands of "brick and mortar" retail locations, from the key national chain stores, and all the way to a plethora of "mom and pop" shops. No matter the ship-to location, IEP pays strict attention to routing guides, staying in total compliance with the end customer's requirements and meeting their expectations on behalf of our clients. Services provided include confirmations, required data on attached paperwork, product or carton labeling, max pallet dimensions, truck scheduling or delivery windows and deadlines, IEP knows what it takes to make our customers look like operations professionals to the valuable customers they serve.

By no means are all retail distribution programs alike. At IEP, the business-to-business fulfillment services we provide vary greatly within our client base. We have case pick programs, loose pick programs (with orders that contain many dozen line items for us to individually pick and pack), full pallet cross dock programs, pre-paid order cross dock programs, retail database distributions (P-O-P, press kits and other marketing materials)… and quite often our clients have us combining some or all of the above! Our warehouse management systems are flexible enough to support the unique needs of every IEP business-to-business client, even those that market and ship their products direct to consumer.

Direct to Consumer Fulfillment:

IEP truly understands the intricacies and challenges associated with direct response fulfillment services, and the important role we serve in creating a high-end customer experience. Immediate turnaround on orders, protecting goods in transit, professional presentation, gift-wrapping, personalized notes… if customer experience and service reputation is important to you, IEP is the right choice for your business.

IEP can pick and pack from any number of SKU’s in a web-catalog, single SKU large volume… and put margin back into the pockets of our customers by maximizing shipping and handling efficiencies. Our operating systems are also tooled with the latest in direct response functionality and flexibility, allowing IEP to integrate as a seamless back-end operation for the clients we serve.

E-Commerce Fulfillment Services: Whether it's an online catalog or an online site, IEP knows what it takes to handle all facets of direct response fulfillment over the Internet, including the complexities of exchanging multiple data files at various times throughout the day (EDI or FTP). IEP has the systems and capacity to ship thousands of orders every day and save our clients money through our operating and shipping efficiencies. IEP will often receive containers of product, and bulk presort ship the entire lot within 24 hours of delivery.

Order Shipping Confirmation:

When a sales order reaches the IEP Shipping Department, the system generated, bar-coded paperwork that attaches to the order automatically directs us on which carrier, account number and service level to utilize for shipment. At IEP Fulfillment Services, we utilize multiple carriers options, so every order can run through the same scan station and shipping process regardless of the ship method. Our systems offers personalized packing slips, as we operate as a seamless part of the clients' businesses. Real time tracking information for all shipments is available to our clients via our Web-based system interface, or reporting can be forwarded to clients in the format of their choosing.

For TL and LTL shipping, IEP schedules deliveries with a variety of client specified logistics carriers, or IEP can recommend a qualified, cost effective logistics service on behalf of our clients. Either way, our shipping team works with the carriers to coordinate pick-ups, and get orders out and delivered in compliance with the clients' deadlines.

Inventory Management:

At IEP Fulfillment Services, we believe that when our clients access inventory information from our warehouse management system, what they view must be accurate.

Critical business decisions are driven by inventory status and availability. At IEP Fulfillment Services, we understand the importance of this statement as we take those extra steps with every touch of the client's inventory, working hard and working smart to ensure that inventory information remains sound.

Controlling tens of thousands of stock keeping units (SKUs) for dozens of clients is no easy task. Each day our Inventory guidelines, protocols, and most importantly, a company philosophy that each person take care of our clients' Inventory as if it were their own. It may take a little longer it may cost us a little more but the end result is credibility with each client, and the satisfaction that their inventory has been properly managed. When our clients succeed, we succeed and Inventory Management plays a critical role in this success.

At IEP Fulfillment Services, each department follows strict guidelines with checks and balances for receiving, put away, pulling orders, location replenishment and bin moves.

At IEP, each item we inventory and fulfill is assigned to one of three types of warehouse locations: Flow (pick and pack of individual units), Fixed (master cartons accessible at floor level) and Flex (bulk pallet location), and our inventory management system utilizes this logic to guide order pickers down the most efficient path to pull an order.

IEP Fulfillment Services also employs a dedicated Inventory Management team, with responsibilities for inventory put away, replenishment of pick locations and ongoing quality control (including cycle counts). IEP’s Inventory department follows written guidelines that pertain to inventory management. When errors are encountered, we immediately document the issue, correct data in the system and research the cause of the error. We don't stop until the issue is resolved, and our findings are used to either amend/improve procedures.

Returns:

Returns are an unfortunate but constant reality for many of our clients. At IEP, we help to make the most out of this negative through our dedicated Returns Management team. We employ a great crew, automated systems and client specific processes that help to minimize the costs associated with returns handling, and quickly get inventory back onto the shelf as shippable finished goods (for those items that can be refurbished).

IEP Fulfillment Services will process returns in a timely fashion, whether these be Retail Returns or Consumer Returns. Efficiency and effectiveness, both are trademarks of the IEP Returns Management team! The majority of returns are received, processed and confirmed back to the client (with an accurate account of all that was returned), generally within 1-3 days from the time they reach our facility.

Logistics:

With assistance from strong alliances with world-class logistics carriers, IEP provides innovative and integrated transportation solutions to meet and exceed our clients' business objectives while controlling freight costs. IEP Logistics offers multi-mode transportation, including: Charter, Same Day, Next Day, Second Day, Third Day, 3-5 Day time-definite, Traditional LTL, Partial Truck Moves, Full Truck, Overseas Transportation, Clearing and Drayage from US Ports. The IEP Team has been linked to the transportation and logistics field since entering the Fulfillment Services industry, and our experience goes a long way to achieving client satisfaction in transportation.

Container Services:

Shipping from Asia to Portland is a more desirable route than shipping to other busier ports on the west coast. Unlike other west coast ports, the Port of Portland remains uncongested. Domestic carriers seeking to fill their equipment in Portland for backhaul to the east and south typically offer lower cost transportation. We have the services in place to receive and re route any inventory coming in from overseas. We can provide control checks on entry & exit of goods and have an adequate insured warehousing space for storage.
